Job summary

Independer is seeking a Security Engineer to strengthen our IT security posture in Hilversum. You will implement and maintain security measures across cloud, network, and application environments, while collaborating with IT, DevOps, and development teams to embed security early in the design process.

You will perform vulnerability assessments, conduct penetration testing, and contribute to incident response.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing security measures for cloud, network, and app environments.
• Experience with vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analyses.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS2, and DORA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain security measures for cloud, network, and application environments.
• Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and code reviews.
• Monitor security events and coordinate remediation.
• Integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SAST, DAST, dependencies, secrets management).
• Advise teams on secure design, governance, and compliance.
