Job summary

NKT is seeking an Engineering Manager for Seabed Intervention in Rotterdam to lead a diverse team of Seabed Intervention Project Engineers across route preparation, seabed intervention and cable protection in large EPCI projects.

The role requires strong leadership, development of people, and close collaboration with project teams, subcontractors and clients globally to ensure quality, consistency and on-time delivery while aligning with NKT’s strategy.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in engineering teams for project delivery.
• Ability to develop people and build trust in a diverse team.
• Understanding of offshore project delivery, technical quality requirements and risks associated with offshore operations.
• Structured approach to resource planning, competence development, process improvement and documentation.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Ability to build strong working relationships with project managers, installation managers, clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Seabed Intervention Project Engineers as line manager and key partner to project and tender teams.
• Assign engineers based on project requirements and provide coaching and feedback.
• Coordinate technical input, review subcontractor documentation and ensure alignment with project milestones.
• Develop the department in line with NKT’s strategy and future capability needs.
• Collaborate with the Director Offshore Engineering and the wider organization to improve ways of working and capability development.
