Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an SEA Manager (f,m,x) based in Netherlands.

As an SEA Manager, you will drive paid search performance and growth across a portfolio of European markets, managing substantial Google Ads and Shopping budgets in a fast-paced, remote-first environment. You will optimize campaign structures, bidding strategies, product feeds, and budget allocation to maximize performance and support ambitious business objectives. Working closely with market teams, category marketing, and supply partners, you will help expand into new product categories, including home appliances and e-bikes. You will use data-driven insights, experimentation, AI tools, and automation to improve efficiency and unlock new growth opportunities. This role combines hands-on campaign ownership with cross-functional collaboration and the opportunity to influence paid search strategy across multiple markets. You will join an international team that values autonomy, continuous learning, and measurable impact while contributing to a more sustainable approach to consumption.

Accountabilities:
  • Manage paid search campaigns: Own Google Ads and Shopping performance across a portfolio of European country accounts, including campaign structure, bidding strategies, product feeds, and budget allocation, ensuring alignment with local market objectives and incrementality measurement.
  • Drive market growth: Partner with market teams to identify paid search opportunities, monitor local search trends, analyze competitors, and recommend strategies that improve campaign performance and market share.
  • Support multi-category expansion: Collaborate with the SEA Team Lead and Category Marketing to develop growth hypotheses, design experiments, and test strategies for new categories, including home appliances and e-bikes.
  • Scale successful initiatives: Translate campaign insights and test results into scalable account structures, optimization playbooks, reporting frameworks, and best practices that can be adopted across the wider team.
  • Coordinate category rollouts: Implement category-level changes within your assigned accounts and support colleagues in applying successful approaches across their portfolios.
  • Develop performance reporting: Create clear, actionable reports for Supply teams and brand partners, translating campaign data into meaningful insights that support business decisions.
  • Maintain operational continuity: Cover colleagues' accounts during absences by following shared documentation, monitoring alerts, and applying quality checks to maintain campaign performance and operational standards.
  • Improve efficiency through automation: Identify repetitive campaign setup, monitoring, and reporting tasks that can be automated using scripts, AI tools, and other technologies, reducing manual work as new markets and categories are introduced.
  • Contribute to innovation: Share learnings, contribute to the team's testing roadmap, experiment with new advertising formats and automation opportunities, and stay informed about platform developments.
  • Collaborate with advertising partners: Work with Google and Microsoft partner teams to explore new advertising formats, participate in beta programmes, and identify opportunities to improve campaign effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • Paid search experience: At least 2–5 years of hands‑on experience managing Google Ads campaigns, including Performance Max, Shopping, Search, and Demand Gen, ideally within an e‑commerce or retail environment. Experience with other search advertising platforms is an advantage.
  • Google Ads expertise: Strong practical knowledge of campaign optimization, bidding strategies, budget management, performance analysis, and relevant Google Skillshop certifications.
  • Product feed management: Experience working with Google Merchant Center feeds, custom labels, feed rules, and product disapprovals. Familiarity with feed management platforms such as Channable, Productsup, or similar tools is highly desirable.
  • Analytics and reporting skills: Confident use of Google Analytics, Google Ads Editor, spreadsheets, and business intelligence tools such as Looker Studio or Tableau. SQL knowledge is an additional advantage.
  • Data-driven mindset: Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret performance data, recognize its limitations, investigate changes in campaign results, and make informed optimization decisions.
  • Structured problem-solving: A methodical approach to diagnosing performance issues, identifying root causes, testing hypotheses, and validating results before implementing changes.
  • Interest in innovation: Curiosity about new advertising formats, platform updates, scripts, AI applications, and automation techniques, with the ability to test new approaches and assess their actual impact.
  • Responsible use of AI and automation: Experience leveraging AI tools or automated workflows to improve efficiency, while validating outputs, establishing feedback loops, and ensuring reliable results.
  • Communication and stakeholder management: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to explain campaign performance, strategic priorities, and recommendations clearly to colleagues across markets, category marketing, and supply teams.
  • Language proficiency: Fluently English is required. Knowledge of an additional European language is a strong advantage.
  • Location and work eligibility: Candidates must be based in Europe, including the United Kingdom, and have valid authorization to work in their country of residence.
Benefits:
  • Remote‑first flexibility: Work remotely from an eligible European location, with the option to work from a central Vienna office.
  • Flexible working arrangements: Enjoy autonomy over your schedule and work location, with an emphasis on trust, self‑organization, and work‑life balance.
  • Team connection: Participate in three annual office weeks featuring in‑person collaboration, team‑building activities, and on‑site workshops.
  • Professional development budget: Access dedicated funding for courses, conferences, and other learning opportunities relevant to your career.
  • Mental health and personal growth: Benefit from private sessions with experts through the Likeminded platform.
  • Continuous learning: Take part in internal workshops designed to strengthen skills, encourage knowledge sharing, and support cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Inclusive culture: Join an international, diverse team that values open communication, constructive feedback, experimentation, and learning from mistakes.
  • Pet‑friendly office: Bring your dog when working from the Vienna office.
  • Meaningful impact: Contribute to a more sustainable consumption model by helping customers access refurbished products through effective digital marketing.
  • International exposure: Work across multiple European markets and collaborate with diverse teams, advertising partners, and product categories.
