Job summary

OHB Italy is seeking a System AIT Engineer to support AIT activities for a satellite project, based in Milan or Noordwijk. You will assist the AIT Manager in preparation, implementation, and monitoring of AIT tasks.

Requirements include a Master’s in Aerospace Engineering, 3+ years in AIT, English fluency, and ability to work flexible hours.

You will engage with documentation, test setups, clean room operations, and reviews, reporting to the AIT Department Head.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or similar.
  • At least 3 years in the AIT domain.
  • Experience with Space documentation and requirements.
  • Knowledge of quality principles in Space and Clean Room environments.
  • Proficient in MS Office including MS Project.
  • Proficient CAD Viewer usage.
  • Strong problem solving and root-cause identification.
  • Good communication and teamwork.
  • Willingness for long shifts/weekends when needed.
  • EU work eligibility.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

  • Analyse architecture documentation and requirements like manuals and drawings.
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of the AIT Plan and AIT Flow.
  • Verify availability of input data for AIT activities (requirements, schedule, manuals).
  • Coordinate preparation of AIT documentation and procedures (dashboard, setup, IRR, TRR, PTR).
  • Prepare procedures for integration/testing and test scripts if needed.
  • Contribute to selecting support equipment and instrumentation.
  • Assist in setting up clean room and lab integration areas.
  • Support mechanical and electrical AIT integration and testing activities.
  • Coordinate external/Internal test facilities as needed.
  • Assist Environmental/Launch Campaign preparations and reviews.
