Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Salesforce Developer based in Netherlands.

As the lead developer for the Salesforce platform, you will play a central role in shaping the tools that power Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Finance. You’ll build scalable automations, integrations, custom applications, and workflows that directly support revenue operations. The role combines hands-on Salesforce development with ownership of releases, data quality, integrations, and platform administration. You’ll translate business needs into thoughtful technical solutions and take your work from design through production. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore AI, LLMs, and MCP integrations to improve how teams work with CRM data. You’ll join a remote-first, globally distributed environment that values ownership, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Accountabilities
  • Develop and maintain Apex classes, triggers, batch and asynchronous jobs, scheduled processes, and Lightning Web Components for custom applications, dashboards, and guided workflows.
  • Design and maintain revenue-focused automations covering lead routing, conversion, account and territory assignment, opportunity management, forecasting, customer handovers, renewals, and proof-of-value tracking.
  • Own and maintain integrations between Salesforce and third-party platforms, including sales engagement, conversation intelligence, enrichment, marketing automation, finance, contract management, and collaboration tools.
  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot API-based integrations while working directly with external vendors to resolve synchronization issues.
  • Maintain high-quality code and meaningful test coverage, manage sandbox-to-production releases, and contribute to version control and technical documentation.
  • Ensure CRM data remains accurate and reliable through deduplication, enrichment, bulk updates, data cleanups, and performance optimization within Salesforce governor limits.
  • Translate requests from Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Finance into clear technical designs and practical Salesforce solutions.
  • Explore and implement AI capabilities, including LLM tools, Claude skills, and MCP integrations, to enable safer and more effective use of CRM data by AI agents.
  • Handle day-to-day Salesforce administration, including users, permissions, layouts, and related platform configuration.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional Salesforce development experience, ideally with experience acting as a lead or sole developer within a B2B SaaS Sales Cloud environment.
  • Strong hands‑on expertise in Apex, including triggers, trigger frameworks, bulkification, asynchronous Apex, and test classes, combined with practical Lightning Web Components experience.
  • Strong knowledge of SOQL, SOSL, the Salesforce data model, Salesforce security model, and the ability to determine when Flow is preferable to custom code.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, integrating, and troubleshooting third‑party systems through APIs.
  • Experience with modern Salesforce development practices and tooling, including Salesforce CLI/SFDX, Git or GitHub, scratch orgs, and sandboxes.
  • Interest in AI and emerging technologies, with curiosity about APIs, LLMs, MCP, AI agents, and incorporating these tools into development workflows.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across different time zones.
  • Experience with Salesforce CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Gearset, Copado, or similar solutions is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot), HubSpot, or Marketo is advantageous.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I, Platform Developer II, or JavaScript Developer I are valued.
  • Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, Agentforce, or Einstein is a plus.
  • German language skills are considered an additional advantage.
Benefits
  • Remote‑first position with the flexibility to work from home anywhere in Europe.
  • Significant ownership of the Salesforce platform, including the opportunity to develop and deploy your own solutions to production.
  • Hands‑on exposure to AI initiatives, including the development of Claude skills and MCP integrations for CRM data.
  • Direct impact on the daily operations and workflows of Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Finance teams.
  • Competitive salary package.
  • Equity grants.
  • Opportunities to collaborate with a globally distributed team through regular interactions and in‑person gatherings.
  • Annual company offsite and team meetings.
