Job summary

Delta Electronics EMEA seeks a Safety Manager to develop, implement, and govern health and safety programmes across its EMEA operations. You will ensure compliance with legal and corporate requirements while driving a strong safety culture across service, project, engineering, and operations teams.

The role reports to the regional leadership and requires leadership in governance, risk management, and incident prevention to protect personnel and operations throughout the region.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in health and safety management in multi-country environments.
  • Strong knowledge of European legislation and regional frameworks.
  • Proven ability to lead incident prevention, risk management, and compliance programs.
  • Experience supporting field service, installation, commissioning or project-based operations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Establish governance frameworks, standards, and procedures for health and safety across Delta’s EMEA operations.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and update policies to ensure compliance with legislation and standards.
  • Lead risk assessments, audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
  • Oversee incident reporting, investigations and root-cause analyses.
  • Ensure safe execution of installation, commissioning, maintenance, and field service activities.

Job Description

The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and governing all health and safety programmes across Delta’s operations in EMEA. The role ensures compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate requirements, drives continuous improvement in safety performance, and builds a strong safety culture across all service, project, engineering, and operational teams.

This leader oversees health and safety activities across multiple countries, supporting Service Managers, Project Managers, Site Managers, Field Engineers, and operational teams. The role reports directly to the EMEA Service Director and acts as the regional authority for health and safety governance, risk management, and incident prevention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish health and safety governance frameworks, standards, and procedures to ensure consistent compliance across all countries, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure integrated practices.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and ensure timely updates to policies and operational practices to ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, industry standards, and Delta corporate requirements.
  • Represent environmental, health and safety in regional leadership forums and global discussions.
  • Lead risk assessments and hazard mitigation planning, conducting audits, inspections, and compliance reviews across service and project activities.
  • Oversee incident reporting, investigation, root‑cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Ensure the safe execution of installation, commissioning, maintenance, and field service activities through effective safety systems, permit-to-work processes, site safety protocols, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver training programmes and competency frameworks, ensuring personnel meet required health and safety qualifications.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through communication, coaching, leadership engagement, and regional behavioural safety initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate performance dashboards, KPIs, and regional reporting, providing regular updates to the management, and driving strategic continuous improvement initiatives across the region.
  • Engage with external stakeholders and support customer requirements, audits, and contractual obligations.
Qualifications
Essential
  • 5+ years of experience in health and safety management roles within multi‑country, technical or industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation across Europe and familiarity with Middle East & Africa regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven ability to lead incident prevention, risk management, and compliance programmes.
  • Experience supporting field service, installation, commissioning, or project‑based operations.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
  • Experience in power electronics, data centres, industrial automation, or related technology sectors.
  • Professional EHS certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, or equivalent).
  • Experience with ESG, sustainability, and environmental management systems.
