Job summary

SBM Offshore is seeking a Global Rotating Equipment Lead to ensure the reliability, availability and efficiency of rotating equipment within the company’s global operations, spanning design, maintenance and upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• 6+ years in maintenance of rotating equipment in Oil & Gas.
• Experience leading a team.
• Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies and practices.
• Familiarity with SAP or other asset management systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement of rotating equipment design and operation practices for existing fleet and new builds.
• Governance processes, tools and strategies to drive performance.
• Assurance processes to sustain performance and control.
• Conduct failure analysis and troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
• Contribute to maintenance programs and schedules for rotating equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers and departments to optimize equipment performance and process efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies.
• Support strategies for equipment upgrades, replacements, and new installations.
• Provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams.

Purpose

• As Global Rotating Equipment Lead, you are responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and efficiency of rotating equipment within the company’s operations.
• Your role involve the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of rotating machinery, including compressors, turbines, pumps, and other related equipment.
• You work closely with other departments to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Your role is key in defining the Rotating Equipment strategies for what concerns their monitoring, design improvement and operations and maintenance scopes definition.

Responsibilities

• You drive continuous improvement of Rotating Equipment design and operation best practices for the existing fleet and new builds to make the fleet safer, more reliable and minimize downtimes.
• You are responsible for governance processes, tools and strategies to drive performance.
• You are responsible of assurance processes to sustain performance and always be in control.
• You conduct failure analysis and troubleshooting to diagnose and promptly resolve equipment issues.
• You contribute to the definition of maintenance programs and schedules for all rotating equipment.
• You collaborate with other engineers and departments to optimize equipment performance and process efficiency.
• You ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies.
• You participate in the definition of strategies for execution of equipment upgrades, replacements, and new installations.
• You provide technical support and guidance to operations and maintenance teams.
• You stay updated on the latest advancements in rotating equipment technology and best practices in the industry.
• You support the process of new equipment and new technologies qualification to ensure their suitability for Operations and Maintenance.
• You support the Supply Chain department in the definition of the technical scope for major equipment maintenance and support contract.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required. Certification in vibration analysis or other relevant disciplines

Experience

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in the maintenance and management of rotating equipment in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to rotating equipment.
• Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies and practices.
• Familiarity with SAP or other enterprise asset management systems.
