Job summary

SBM Offshore N.V. seeks a Global Electrical Lead to ensure the reliability, availability, and efficiency of Electrical System and Equipment across operations.

The role covers operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of PMS, HV/LV switchboards, IEDs, transformers, UPS and battery systems, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance. Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years in maintenance and management of Electrical System and Equipment in Oil & Gas.

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement in electrical design and operation for existing fleet and new builds.
  • Contribute to governance processes, tools, and strategies to drive performance.
  • Support the definition and implementation of assurance processes.
  • Contribute to development of maintenance programs and schedules.
  • Conduct failure analysis and troubleshooting for equipment issues.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Assist with obsolescence management, upgrades, and new installations.
  • Provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams.
  • Respond to critical issues by adjusting IEDs and PMS settings for Siemens, Schneider, and ABB equipment.
  • Engage in EMIS and Electrical Intelligent Agents initiatives from concept to deployment.

Purpose
  • As Global Electrical Lead, you are responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and efficiency of Electrical System and Equipment across the company's operations.
  • Your role involves the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the electrical system and equipment, including but not limited to PMS, HV/LV switchboards, IEDs, transformers, UPS and battery systems, VFDs, and other related equipment. You work closely with other departments to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • You play a key role in defining strategies for operations and maintenance, monitoring, and design improvement of the Electrical System and Equipment.
Responsibilities
  • Drive continuous improvement in the design and operation of Electrical System and Equipment for the existing fleet and new builds
  • Contribute to the definition of governance processes, tools, and strategies to drive performance.
  • Support the definition and implementation of assurance processes.
  • Contribute to the development of maintenance programs and schedules.
  • Conduct failure analysis and troubleshooting to promptly resolve systems and equipment issues.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies.
  • Participate in defining strategies for obsolescence management and execution of equipment upgrades, replacements, and new installations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to operations and maintenance teams.
  • Respond promptly to critical issues by adjusting IEDs settings and PMS configurations, particularly with Siemens, Schneider and ABB equipment
  • Participate in the definition of the Electrical Monitoring and Integrity Surveillance (EMIS) application from early stage, by interfacing with Engineering, up to the deployment and maintenance.
  • Contribute to the definition of the Electrical Intelligent Agents from early stages (proofs of concepts) to the deployment and maintenance.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in Electrical System and Equipment technology and best practices in the industry.
  • Support the process of new equipment and new technologies qualifications to ensure their suitability for Operations and Maintenance.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance internal capabilities in managing complex electrical systems, especially PMS and IEDs.
  • Collect and transmit the Lessons Learnt from the operating units to the company's register and involved departments.
  • Support the Supply Chain department defining the technical scope for major equipment maintenance and support contract.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in the maintenance and management of Electrical System and Equipment in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, especially for Offshore Installations.
  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies and practices.
  • Familiarity with SAP or other enterprise asset management systems.
