Job summary

Schunk Xycarb Technology in Helmond, NL, is seeking a Robotics & Automation Engineer for the operations team. You will implement factory automation using robots, cobots and AGVs, and support maintenance and projects across the production floor.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor in Mechatronics, Mechanics or Electronics, has at least 3 years in automation, fluent English, CAD experience, and hands-on robot programming with Yaskawa, Fanuc or MiR, plus Siemens PLCs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechatronics/Mechanics or Electronics.
• ≥3 years in automation projects.
• Fluent in English; Dutch appreciated.
• CAD experience required.

Responsibilities

• Support operations and maintenance with automation solutions.
• Troubleshoot automation systems and address issues.

For the operations team in Schunk Xycarb Technology, we are looking for a

Robotics & Automation Engineer.

What are your main responsibilities?

• Support Operations & Maintenance with the use of the automation solutions;
• Support and execute trouble shooting with the automation solutions;
• Facilitate the technical discussion with automation suppliers and assess their solutions with regards to SXT’s needs;
• Introduce new equipment, integrate and commission projects in our factory. Supporting implementation by interacting with various stakeholders;
• Provide insight into machines, systems and solutions which help SXT in executing our automation roadmap. Think of machines such as robots, cobots and AGV’s;
• Manage your own projects, constantly aligning stakeholders internally and externally;
• Actively participate in continuous improvement projects by adding skills and knowledge;

What are your skills?

For this function it is important that you are good in collecting the information needed from the production side for the automation projects. Other requirements you need for this role are:

• At least a Bachelor degree in Mechatronics/Mechanics or Electronics;
• In your work you’ve built expertise in automation projects related to factory automation;
• You have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position;
• A good command of the English language (written and spoken) (Dutch is not mandatory but appreciated)
• CAD software experience (designing tools for automation applications)
• Experience with Robot Programming (Yaskawa, Fanuc, MiR)
• Experience with Siemens PLC Programming
