Job summary

AFS Energy in Amsterdam invites you to join our risk team as a Risk Officer. You will support monitoring market, credit, and operational risks across renewable trading desks, while collaborating with Front Office on trade approvals and FX hedging.

You'll work with Excel, SQL, Python, and Power BI to maintain risk tools and reports, build awareness across departments, and contribute to reporting accuracy. Learn directly from the Risk Director on a fast-paced trading floor.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Econometrics, Maths, or similar.
• 2 years of experience in risk, finance, financial markets, or energy trading.
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Python, or Power BI.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Analytical, proactive, hands-on, ethical, and eager to learn in a fast-paced trading environment.

Responsibilities

• Support daily monitoring of market, credit, and operational risks.
• Assist Front Office with trade approvals, counterparty credit checks, and FX hedging.
• Maintain and improve risk tools and reports with the development team.
• Perform analyses and reports using Excel, SQL, Python, or Power BI.
• Contribute to building risk awareness across departments.
• Participate in projects that enhance reporting accuracy.
