Job summary

Riverty, part of Bertelsmann, is seeking a Risk Analyst (m/f/d) to join the Client Underwriting team in the Netherlands. You will assess B2B risk profiles, review financial data, and provide clear underwriting recommendations to support decision-making.

Location options include Amsterdam or Heerenveen with a hybrid work setup. The ideal candidate has a background in underwriting or merchant risk, strong analytical skills, and fluency in English; Dutch or German is a plus.

Qualifications

Foundation in underwriting or merchant/c credit risk.
Ability to analyze diverse data and draw clear conclusions.
Strong attention to detail and judgement, with questions when needed.
Degree in Finance, Economics or related field is preferred.
Professional fluency in English; Dutch or German is a plus.

Responsibilities

Conduct manual underwriting assessments of B2B relationships in line with Riverty policies and risk standards
Review merchant risk profiles using relevant company, ownership, financial and business information
Identify gaps, inconsistencies or risk indicators, and ask for clarification where needed
Present structured, well-supported risk recommendations
Document analysis and rationale for transparent decisions
Escalate cases per team procedures and collaborate across markets and functions
