Job summary

Riverty is seeking a Risk Analyst (m/f/d) for Client Underwriting to assess risk profiles of B2B relationships and support underwriting decisions through manual review of company data, ownership, and financial information.

You will identify risk indicators, document clear recommendations, and collaborate with teams across markets to shape underwriting standards and risk strategies in a hybrid work setup in Amsterdam or Heerenveen, NL.

Qualifications

• Foundation in underwriting, merchant risk assessment, credit risk or related analytical field.
• Analytical mindset and ability to draw clear conclusions from varied information.
• Good judgement, attention to detail and the confidence to raise questions.
• Degree in Finance, Economics or related field.
• Professional fluency in English; German or Dutch is an advantage.
• Location: Amsterdam or Heerenveen, Netherlands.

• Identify gaps, inconsistencies or risk indicators, and ask for clarification where needed.
• Bring findings together into structured, well-supported risk recommendations.
• Document analysis, rationale and findings clearly, ensuring decisions are transparent and traceable.
• Escalate cases in line with team procedures and collaborate across markets and functions.
• Contribute to shaping and improving underwriting standards, processes and risk strategies across markets.

Job Description

We are looking for a Risk Analyst (m/f/d) to join our Client Underwriting (Merchant Risk) team. As part of the team, you will assess risk profiles across Riverty’s B2B relationships. Through manual underwriting, you will review relevant business information, identify risks, and prepare clear recommendations to support underwriting decisions.

Qualifications

What you should bring:

• You bring a foundation in underwriting, merchant risk assessment, credit risk or a related analytical field, and the curiosity to keep learning
• An analytical mindset and the ability to draw clear conclusions from varied information
• Good judgement, attention to detail and the confidence to raise questions
• A degree in Finance, Economics or a related field
• Professional fluency in English; German or Dutch is an advantage.
• Location: Amsterdam or Heerenveen, Netherlands.
