Job summary

You will recruit, develop and lead a team, manage performance development and coaching, and ensure excellent customer service and merchandising standards are maintained across the department. This is a hands-on leadership position focused on growth and store targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in a management role in fast paced, high volume fashion retail
• Strong operational skills
• Understanding of Urban Outfitters culture and local market
• Ability to drive sales through excellent service and visual presentation

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a store team, recruiting and motivating staff
• Oversee performance development, appraisals and coaching
• Identify high-potential staff for advancement
• Uphold company standards and be a positive role model
• Inspire teamwork and conduct productive daily meetings
• Delegate projects while fostering creativity
• Communicate effectively in written and verbal form
• Ensure excellent customer service and a positive store environment
• Train and coach staff on customer service, standards, product placement and time management
• Achieve loss-prevention and stock control goals
• Collaborate with department managers on merchandising and floor sets
• Analyse reports to respond to trends and drive sales
