Freedom Village Holland is hiring a Part‑Time Resident Care Associate (RCA) / Caregiver for the 1st shift (6am–2pm) in Holland, MI. You’ll assist licensed nursing staff with activities of daily living and support residents with dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, eating, and mobility.

This role offers a path to CNA certification with Freedom Village paying for CNA classes and state testing through MTEC, plus a sign-on bonus and potential promotion as you become certified.

Qualifications

• Prior geriatric experience preferred
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to document care accurately
• Ability to perform simple arithmetic

Responsibilities

• Assist with dressing, grooming, bathing, positioning, and exercising
• Perform basic treatments, tests, and procedures as instructed
• Record observations and care provided
• Transfer, transport, and escort residents
• Answer call lights promptly
• Change linens, make beds, and maintain clean resident rooms
• Maintain safe and sanitary work areas
• Encourage independence and participation in activities
• Attend in‑service training and education sessions
• Complete additional duties as assigned

Currently Hiring: Part‑Time

• 1st Shift (6am–2pm)

Pay: $14.50–$15.00/hr (base rate)

Sign‑On Bonus: $2,000 PT / $3,500 FT

Shift Differentials: +$3.00/$5.00 (2nd/3rd shifts)

Opportunities: Full‑Time & Part‑Time

About The Role

• Assist licensed nursing staff with activities of daily living
• Support residents with dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, eating, and mobility
• Provide routine care to promote independence and dignity
• Serve as a stepping‑stone to becoming a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)
• Freedom Village pays for CNA classes + state testing through MTEC
• Guaranteed promotion and pay increase once certified
