Job summary

Freedom Village Holland is seeking a Housekeeper for the 1st shift to maintain cleanliness in apartments and common areas and support a safe, welcoming environment for residents.

You will follow supervisor instructions, perform routine cleaning tasks, and participate in ongoing training while upholding resident confidentiality and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
• Strong communication skills appropriate for resident interaction.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred (not required).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform general housekeeping in apartments: vacuuming, bathroom/kitchen cleaning, dusting.
• Clean hallways and common areas as directed.
• Complete tasks in priority order set by supervisor.
• Maintain equipment and supplies in proper condition.
• Attend in-service training and education sessions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Maintain resident confidentiality at all times.

About The Role

• Maintain cleanliness and neatness of assigned apartments and common areas
• Support a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment for residents
• Follow housekeeping priorities and instructions from supervisor

Physical Requirements

• Moderate to heavy physical effort for most of the workday
• Stand and walk long distances (up to 8 hours/day)
• Frequent stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, and stretching
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently
• Push/pull carts up to 100 lbs over various surfaces
• Operate vacuums and work in confined spaces
• Regular contact with residents
• Possible exposure to cleaning chemicals, odors, and communicable diseases
