Research technician position available - Unraveling the immune-metabolic landscape in multiple myeloma

About The Project

Multiple myeloma (MM) is characterized by immune evasion strategies that result in abnormalities in immune cell responses, especially T-cells. The microenvironment includes BMSCs, immune suppressor cells, and immunosuppressive molecules, which promote tumor growth and impair immune responses. Current immune profiling methods are limited in markers and do not assess immune cell functional status. Recent research shows that immune cell functions are regulated by cellular metabolism, which can distinguish T cell subsets and immune dynamics, offering potential for new therapeutic insights.

About The Role

The immune-metabolic profiling team will:

• Biobank blood and bone marrow samples from MM patients undergoing T cell-redirecting therapy.
• Use spectral flow cytometry and molecular biology techniques to:
• Determine tumor influence on immune landscape and function;
• Explore immune environment changes induced by therapies, focusing on T-cell redirecting bispecific antibodies;
• Identify factors predicting durable response or MRD-negativity;
• Study immune alterations via extracellular vesicles using in vitro 3D systems.

Your responsibilities include isolating cells from patient samples, supporting flow cytometry analysis, and managing databases. You should be organized, reliable, and able to collaborate in an international environment.

Profile

We seek a motivated research technician with excellent communication skills, experience in patient sample processing, and preferably familiarity with flow cytometry, cell culture, and molecular biology. Fluency in English is recommended.
