Job summary

Lever, Inc. in the Netherlands is seeking a Content & AI Lead to own a UK-focused sports betting content portal. You will combine editorial leadership, SEO, and advanced AI to drive growth, performance, and profitability.

The role spans strategy, planning, optimisation, and team development, with cross-functional collaboration across SEO, Product, Design, Development, Affiliate, and AI teams. You will embed AI into operations, build AI workflows, and manage stakeholders while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• 3+ years in sports betting, iGaming, sports media, or related content environment with UK exposure.
• Strong knowledge of UK sports and betting, especially football.
• Proven experience leading a content/editorial team and end-to-end operations.
• Deep understanding of SEO, keyword research, content strategy, and organic growth.
• Hands-on experience with SEO/analytics tools (Ahrefs, GA, GSC).
• Excellent editorial judgement, writing, research, and QA capabilities.
• Strong commercial acumen linking content to traffic, conversions, revenue, profitability.
• Advanced AI fluency with practical use in workflows, research, and decision-making.
• Experience building or testing AI workflows, agents, or multi-step processes.
• Familiarity with Claude, ChatGPT, MCPs, or APIs is a plus.
• Highly analytical, proactive, builder mindset with willingness to experiment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own content strategy and editorial roadmap for UK sports betting portal.
• Lead the content team, including recruitment, coaching, and resource planning.
• Maintain high editorial standards, SEO-focused content, and compliance.
• Design and improve content plans and team workflows aligned with objectives.
• Use insights to identify gaps and prioritise high-impact opportunities.
• Oversee content optimisation based on performance and demand.
• Embed AI into content operations using Claude, ChatGPT, and automation.
• Develop AI-powered workflows, agents, and multi-step processes for efficiency.
• Collaborate with SEO, Product, Design, Development, Affiliate, AI and central teams.
• Manage the portal's content budget and drive revenue/profitability.
