Job summary

LabelWorx Limited, the world‑leading dance and electronic music distribution platform, is seeking a Principal Software Engineer. You will own architecture, design and delivery of core Laravel/PHP systems, working closely with the CTO and leadership to set direction and ship high‑impact features.

You’ll mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, optimize databases and APIs, and help scale infrastructure for millions of transactions.

Qualifications

• Extensive commercial experience building and maintaining large‑scale PHP/Laravel applications.
• Owns technical problems from concept through deployment.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, API design and database optimisation.
• Writes clean, maintainable and well‑tested code.
• Comfortable working across the full application stack.
• Takes ownership and improves systems rather than just maintaining them.
• Excellent communication and collaborative mindset.
• Mentors others and helps shape the engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, develop and evolve our core Laravel/PHP platform.
• Lead technical design and architecture decisions.
• Build scalable, high‑performance systems and APIs.
