Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in PHP and Symfony.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed-system patterns.
• Experience with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch.
• Familiarity with cloud/infrastructure: Kubernetes, Helm, AWS, Terraform.
• Ability to contribute to architectural discussions and make thoughtful technical decisions.
• High ownership, problem-solving and product-minded mindset.
• Collaborative and open to feedback in a fast-moving team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, scale, and maintain backend services using PHP and Symfony within a large microservices architecture.
• Develop features with a focus on scalability, performance, reliability and user experience.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and help shape distributed-system solutions.
• Collaborate with frontend, mobile, design, data and platform teams to deliver high-quality products.
• Improve engineering practices, observability, and system resilience across the ecosystem.
• Own technical problems end-to-end from investigation through implementation.
