Job summary

Nutreco is seeking a Business Application Specialist (LIMS) to own and enhance LabVantage LIMS across our global labs. You will act as the technical contact, ensure data integrity, support development, testing, and integrations, and drive system adoption.

You’ll work with laboratories, IT, and business teams in a hybrid/remote European setting, travel up to 25% as needed, and help expand LIMS into new countries—enabling scalable, data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software development, IT systems management, or business application support.
• Strong background in Java and SQL development.
• Experience with LIMS systems (LabVantage preferred) or laboratory-related applications.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working with diverse, international stakeholders.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Availability for occasional international travel (up to 25%).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for the LabVantage LIMS application.
• Work with internal stakeholders and experts to gather business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Assist with development, testing, and implementation of software solutions and system integrations in collaboration with the LIMS vendor.
• Ensure data integrity and database management, supporting SQL-based solutions.
• Provide ongoing user training and support to ensure effective system adoption.
• Support the expansion of LIMS into new countries and integration with other business systems as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including laboratories, IT, and business experts, to improve system performance and usability.
