Jobgether is seeking a Java Developer Associate in the Netherlands. You will join a remote team developing desktop and web applications using Core Java, JSP, Servlets, and MVC patterns.

You’ll work with Spring/Spring Boot/Hibernate, RESTful APIs, and modern JavaScript in a flexible, international, remote environment. The role starts with approximately 20 hours per week, primarily morning CET shifts, with weekend scheduling as needed.

Qualificações

• At least 2.5 years of relevant professional development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Core Java and Java SE.
• Familiarity with Java 8+ features (lambda, streams).
• Hands-on experience with JSP and Servlets for web apps.
• Understanding of the MVC pattern.
• Experience with a Java framework (Spring/Spring Boot/Hibernate/Struts).
• Experience developing desktop and web apps for Windows/macOS/Linux.
• RESTful services and APIs knowledge.
• Basic to intermediate JavaScript and CSS.
• Experience with IDEs (IntelliJ/Eclipse/NetBeans).
• Familiarity with modern JS frameworks (React/Angular/Vue) is a plus.
• Knowledge of SQL databases and ORM tools (Hibernate) preferred.
• Git and Git platforms experience is a plus.
• CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) beneficial.
• Testing frameworks like JUnit/TestNG; Selenium a plus.
• Strong teamwork, responsibility, integrity.
• Available ~20 hours/week; morning shifts ET; weekend flexibility.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain desktop and web applications using Core Java and Java SE.
• Build web apps with JSP and Servlets following MVC where appropriate.
• Work with Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate or Struts to support development.
• Create desktop/web apps for Windows, macOS, Linux.
• Integrate RESTful services and APIs for component communication.
• Enhance UI with JavaScript, CSS, and related technologies.
• Use IDEs like IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, or NetBeans for development.
• Collaborate with senior teammates, follow guidelines and ensure code quality.
• Support testing and troubleshooting; follow project schedules and standards.
