Axelera AI is seeking a System Architect for Datacenter Hardware to own the hardware architecture of AI accelerator systems, spanning server boards, rack integration, and datacenter deployment. The role collaborates with AI Infrastructure Systems, silicon, and software divisions and engages with customers and partners on architecture requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in system or hardware architecture for datacenter/server environments.
• Strong knowledge of scale-up/scale-out design and interconnect architectures.
• Deep hands-on understanding of PCIe, CXL, Ethernet and fabric interconnects.
• Familiarity with RAS concepts, redundancy and telemetry interfaces (BMC/IPMI/Redfish).
• Ability to lead across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Bonus: AI/HPC accelerator systems and datacenter-scale deployment exposure.

Responsibilities

• Define hardware architecture for AI accelerator datacenter systems, including server board design and rack integration.
• Translate system requirements into concrete hardware specifications for compute, memory and interconnect/fabric.
• Specify interconnect and fabric infrastructure and their impact on workload performance at scale.
• Define host, storage and networking integration at the hardware level (PCIe, CXL) and system power budgeting.
• Ensure scalable designs sustain performance from single nodes to large clusters.
• Lead architecture discussions with partners and internal teams, aligning on design decisions.
• Drive best practices for datacenter system architecture as the team grows.
