Job summary

Jobgether invites applications for a Mid Data Scientist role based in the Netherlands. The incumbent will transform complex data into actionable insights, develop ML solutions, and drive production-grade models across diverse projects.

Collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders is essential, with a strong emphasis on ownership and practical problem-solving. The role covers EDA, feature engineering, model tuning, and MLOps practices, including cloud platforms and visualization

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional data science experience.
• Experience building and deploying production ML models.
• Strong Python experience with NumPy/pandas/scikit-learn.
• Basic knowledge of PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Excellent data visualization and communication skills.
• Familiar with ML experimentation tools and cloud ML platforms.

Responsibilities

• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and opportunities.
• Perform feature engineering and prepare high-quality datasets.
• Build, train, tune, and validate ML models.
• Apply statistical methods including hypothesis testing.
• Define evaluation metrics and validation strategies.
• Use ML experimentation tools (MLflow, Weights & Biases, Databricks ML).
• Query data with SQL and develop clear visualizations (Matplotlib/Seaborn/Plotly, Power BI/Tableau).
• Apply MLOps fundamentals and model deployment lifecycle.
• Work with cloud ML platforms (Azure ML/AWS SageMaker/Vertex AI).
• Communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate across Data teams and take ownership of model quality.
