Job summary

Allianz Direct is seeking a medior data scientist / ML engineer in Rotterdam to grow the team and build end-to-end ML solutions for pricing, claims, and customer contact processes. You will work with a global team across multiple countries and leverage a mature data platform on Databricks.

You will deploy models, collaborate with engineers, and contribute to our evolving ways of working, sharing knowledge in weekly sessions. Fluency in English and a strong ML foundation are required.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in a relevant technical field (computer science, data science, physics, econometrics, or engineering).
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar data science or ML engineering role.
• Strong Python coding skills and ML fundamentals; able to deploy models end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy machine learning models end-to-end from ideation to monitoring.
• Tackle modelling problems across pricing, claims, and operations with classification, regression, and time-series methods.
• Collaborate with DevOps/engineers to embed models into business processes.
• Contribute to building and improving the ML platform and internal tooling.
