Job summary

Oikocredit seeks a Communications Intern based in Amersfoort, the Netherlands, for 32–40 hours per week. The role runs 4–6 months starting September 2026, with the possibility to write a thesis if required by studies.

You will support internal events, intranet content, and communications campaigns, while gaining exposure to global development finance in an English-speaking, international team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in communications or marketing, with valid NL work permit.
• Interest in development finance and development communications.
• Some experience in communications/marketing.
• Content creation experience is a plus.
• Strong English writing and speaking skills; other languages are a plus.
• Familiar with Microsoft 365; experience with CMS/SharePoint is an advantage.
• Attention to detail and time management.
• Proactive and willing to learn; take initiative.
• Creative with eye for visual communication and design.
• Comfortable working in a remote environment.
• Experience in an English-speaking, international team; global stakeholders.
• Thesis opportunity and social impact focus.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination and facilitation of internal events and meetings.
• Assist with management of Oikocredit's global intranet content.
• Create and edit internal communications content.
• Support internal campaigns with content creation and rollout.
• Develop visual communication materials like presentations and graphics.
• Collaborate across Marketing, Communications and Advocacy teams.
• Provide general administrative and project support within timelines.
