Lever, Inc. on behalf of a partner company is seeking a Systems Engineer (Linux & Windows) to join a cloud and IT operations team. This fully remote role covers first-level support, alert monitoring, and troubleshooting across Linux and Windows systems, including web servers, TLS, and databases, to ensure stable, high-performing environments.

The role emphasizes optimization, process improvements, and knowledge sharing with colleagues, with rotating shifts to support continuous service delivery.

Formación

• At least five years of relevant professional IT operations experience.
• Strong Linux expertise including kernel tuning, filesystem management, and system configuration.
• Windows knowledge focusing on Active Directory and system configuration.
• Experience with web servers and load balancers (Traefik, NGINX, Envoy, Apache).
• Knowledge of databases such as MariaDB, MS SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with TLS certificate termination and security concepts.
• Independent, structured problem-solver with good documentation habits.
• Strong communication and collaboration, plus willingness to share knowledge.
• Fluency in English and Spanish; German is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as a first point of contact for customer requests and monitoring alerts.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux and Windows systems, including kernel tuning and AD.
• Operate and maintain web servers and load-balancing solutions.
• Manage TLS Termination and support databases (MariaDB, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot operational issues, and improve reliability.
• Identify improvements to configurations, architectures, and procedures.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support continuous service improvement.
• Train and onboard new team members and document activities.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and daily work logs.
• Participate in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
