Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Back End Developers to design, build, and optimize server-side systems powering AI products. You will work on data pipelines, model-serving infrastructure, and scalable microservices supporting real-world traffic.

The role involves designing robust backend services, integrating with databases and cloud platforms, and collaborating with distributed teams across time zones. This is a fully remote, hourly contract position with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Backend developer proficient in one or more languages and APIs.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and cloud platforms.
• Strong knowledge of microservices and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Build scalable server-side architecture for AI training and inference.
• Write clean, documented, testable code following best practices.
• Integrate with databases, queues, cloud services, and third-party APIs.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability as usage grows.
• Collaborate asynchronously with distributed teams of engineers and researchers.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform code reviews, and influence architecture.
• Work independently on task- and project-based assignments.
