Job summary

Jobgether is partnering with a Netherlands-based team to hire an AI Tooling Engineer. You will develop a production-ready internal AI platform, and integrate APIs and data sources to empower employees and AI assistants with secure access to information.

You will own the full lifecycle from design to deployment, focusing on security, costs, and reliability across global teams using Python, LangGraph, LLM APIs, and MCP protocols.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of building production software in Python.
• Production AI agent experience with LangGraph or similar frameworks.
• Experience with tool calling, embeddings, and retrieval workflows.
• Hands-on with LLM APIs and token/cost optimization.
• Experience with MCP or comparable tool protocols.
• Strong security and access control fundamentals.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS) and CI/CD.
• Proficient in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Develop and scale an internal AI tooling platform.
• Integrate internal systems and external SaaS APIs.
• Build AI agents and MCP servers for enterprise use.
• Design retrieval/workflow pipelines with efficient prompts and context handling.
• Establish AI evaluation standards and observability.
• Monitor cost per answer and optimize model usage.
• Troubleshoot production issues and incorporate feedback.
• Deliver secure, scalable cloud applications with proper IAM.
