Job summary

Jobgether, listing on behalf of a partner company, invites an AI Tutor - Design Specialist based in the Netherlands. This role blends hands-on design work with rigorous evaluation of AI-generated outputs across graphics, UI, web, and games.

You will create reference examples, annotations, and collaborate with engineering teams to shape evaluation tasks, scoring rubrics, and data labeling for AI systems. Remote, Netherlands-based, independent work with strong design judgment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated professional design expertise in at least one discipline (graphic/brand/product/UI/UX/web/game/illustration).
• Strong portfolio demonstrating refined design judgment and finished work.
• Solid command of visual hierarchy, typography, spacing, color, composition, and clarity.
• Ability to evaluate design quality across disciplines and explain what works and why.
• Excellent written and verbal English for critiques and rationale.
• Attention to detail and consistency across varied briefs and evolving instructions.
• Comfort creating high-quality design examples and solutions, not just evaluations.
• Experience across multiple design disciplines is a plus (e.g., graphic + web or UI + game).
• Experience designing or reviewing websites, digital products, interfaces, or games is preferred.
• Familiarity with accessibility and inclusive design principles.
• Working knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud; familiarity with collaborative tools.
• Experience using generative AI design tools and recognizing AI-generated flaws.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace, Slack, Notion for collaboration.
• Comfortable working remotely in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated and other design outputs across formats (visual assets, layouts, websites, prototypes, games).
• Assess clarity, functionality, visual coherence, accessibility, and real-world usability beyond visuals.
• Identify weaknesses in hierarchy, typography, spacing, color, composition, and communication.
• Refine or recreate designs to meet quality standards and produce strong reference examples.
• Write precise annotations and critiques to explain design differences at a high level.
• Support creation and labeling of high-quality datasets covering design content.
• Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to develop evaluation tasks, rubrics and standards.
• Apply sound judgment across styles and complexities while ensuring consistency.
• Provide practical insights into why AI outputs may be generic or high-quality.
• Adapt to evolving instructions and project requirements in a fast-paced environment.
