Job summary

NBT Bank is seeking a Relationship Banking Associate to deliver high-quality customer service and respond to client needs. You will process routine transactions and support deposit account openings, in person or by phone, while identifying sales opportunities for partners.

The role requires excellent communication, teamwork, and proficient computer skills in a fast-paced environment with growth potential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with at least 1 year related banking or sales/customer service experience.
• Strong listening and communication abilities, with a focus on customer needs.
• Comfort with basic deposit account opening and computer usage.

Responsibilities

• 65%: Process routine transactions and balance records with accuracy; support general customer/account servicing and vault balancing.
• 25%: Identify opportunities through consultative conversations; refer customers to partners and assist with deposits.
• 5%: Participate in community events related to CRA; perform other duties as assigned.
