Job summary

Nutreco is seeking a Regulatory Innovations Specialist to bridge science, regulation and innovation. You will support international teams to bring safe, compliant and sustainable products to market, conducting hands-on toxicological safety assessments and shaping regulatory strategies.

You will collaborate with R&D, Quality and Marketing, translating complex science into practical business decisions. The role offers a hybrid work setup and long-term career opportunities within Nutreco’s SHV

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Toxicology or related Life Sciences field.
• Several years of relevant experience in industry or consultancy.
• Experience with regulatory assessments or market approvals.
• Strong project and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate scientific findings into business recommendations.
• Fluent English communication.
• Willingness to work from Amersfoort office at least two days per week.

From conducting hands-on toxicological safety assessments to defining regulatory strategies and preparing registration dossiers, your expertise will help turn promising ideas into successful innovations. You will join the Regulatory Innovations team, where colleagues with different regulatory and toxicological specialisms work closely together.

What you’ll do

• Hands-on toxicological safety assessments of substances, ingredients and innovative concepts.
• Regulatory guidance for innovation projects and new product development.
• Clear scientific recommendations and regulatory go/no-go decisions.
• Coordination of regulatory data generation and product registration dossiers.
• Support product registrations and market access activities worldwide.
• Cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Quality, Marketing and external partners.
• Monitoring regulatory developments and assessing business impact.

What you’ll bring

• Master's degree in Toxicology or a related Life Sciences discipline.
• Practical experience in applied toxicology and substance assessment.
• Several years of relevant experience gained in an industry or consultancy setting.
• Experience with regulatory assessments, product authorization or market approval processes.
• Strong project management, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex scientific findings into practical business recommendations.
• Strategic thinking combined with a commitment to safety and compliance.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Availability to work from our Amersfoort office at least two days per week.
