Job summary

Nutreco is seeking a Regulatory Innovations Specialist to lead toxicology assessments and shape regulatory strategies for innovative products. You will collaborate with international teams to ensure safe, compliant market access while balancing scientific findings with business needs.

Based in the Netherlands with a hybrid work setup, you will join a cross-functional Regulatory Innovations team that values rigorous science and proactive stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Toxicology or related Life Sciences.
• Practical experience in applied toxicology and substance assessment.
• Several years of experience in industry or consultancy.
• Experience with regulatory assessments, product authorization or market approval processes.
• Strong project and stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex science into regulatory decisions.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Willingness to work from Amersfoort office at least two days per week.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on toxicological safety assessments of substances, ingredients and innovative concepts.
• Provide regulatory guidance for innovation projects and new product development.
• Offer clear scientific recommendations and regulatory go/no-go decisions.
• Coordinate regulatory data generation and product registration dossiers.
• Support product registrations and market access activities worldwide.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Marketing and external partners.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess business impact.
