Job summary

JBT Marel Corporation is seeking a curious R&D student for a graduation internship focused on robotics, machine vision and automation. You will explore Visual Servo Control to adapt robot paths in real time using live camera feedback and develop a proof-of-concept for robotic path correction.

You will collaborate with Innovation, Software Engineering and Product Management, translating findings into a feasibility assessment and future recommendations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a HBO or university degree in a technical field related to robotics.
• Interest in robotics, machine vision, automation and robot control.
• Willing to be in the office in Lichtenvoorde at least 3 days a week.
• Good command of English; Dutch is preferred.
• Analytical mindset and ability to work independently.
• Clear communication and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current robot control approaches for real-time path adaptation.
• Research PBVS and IBVS visual servoing methods and compare options.
• Identify an industrial use case and define requirements with colleagues.
• Develop and test a proof-of-concept for real-time path correction.
• Evaluate accuracy, latency, cycle-time impact and robustness.
• Translate findings into a feasibility assessment with recommendations.
