About the Role

Are you ready to lead innovation in animal genetics and make a real impact in the poultry industry? As R&D Manager Traditional Poultry at Hendrix Genetics, you’ll be at the forefront of developing and managing breeding programs that shape the future of poultry production.

You’ll lead a passionate team of Geneticists and R&D Farm Coordinators, drive strategic product development, and collaborate across departments to ensure our breeding programs meet market demands and deliver top performance. This is a high‑impact role with room to innovate, influence, and grow.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Set and steer product development goals with the Product Development Committee
• Design, implement, and evaluate breeding programs across all genetic lines
• Lead improvement projects and guide your team in execution
• Ensure high‑level expertise in species‑specific genetics within your department
• Report on genetic progress, project status, and future‑impacting developments
• Collaborate with Business Unit Layers & Traditional Poultry, other BUs, and our central Research & Technology Centre (RTC)
• Work closely with Production, Technical Support, Marketing, and Sales teams
• Represent Hendrix Genetics in the poultry production chain and industry events
• Foster a team culture of energy, collaboration, and solution‑focused thinking

What You Bring

• Strong interest in and understanding of market trends and customer needs
• Degree in Animal Breeding or Animal Science with strong focus on animal genetics
• 5+ years of experience in animal breeding, preferably in industry
• Expertise in poultry production systems and/or biotechnology
• Fluent in English
• Willingness to travel (25–35%)
