  • Perform analyses, calculations and modelling to evaluate product performance and manufacturability.
  • Support development and optimization of manufacturing processes (laser cutting, laser welding, cleaning, assembly).
  • Build and test prototypes and conduct experiments to inform design improvements.
  • Assist in designing surgical instruments and bring new products from concept to verification and market introduction.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality and supply chain to ensure successful product and process development.

You will gain knowledge and experience covering the full engineering domain of product and process development from conceptual design up to market introduction and scale-up.In a team of engineers, you will work on design, development and testing of surgical instruments and the development of their related manufacturing processes. You will improve product performance and manufacturability by calculating, modelling, prototyping and testing. Additionally, by developing processes to a world-class performance level by means of lean six sigma, you will help optimizing cost and consistency. Furthermore, you will get the chance to master high-tech manufacturing processes such as laser cutting, cleaning, laser welding and assembly.
