Delft Networks is seeking a software engineer to join our hardware-focused team in Delft. You will contribute to next-generation quantum networking systems and collaborate on hardware development for scalable qubit technologies.

The role emphasizes both independent and collaborative work, primarily on-site in Delft, with opportunities to tailor to expertise within quantum hardware contexts.

Qualifications

• PhD in physics or master's with two years relevant work experience.
• Experience programming language for hardware control and automation.
• Experience operating qubit systems for networking, computing, or sensing applications; or deep expertise in optics or photonics.

Responsibilities

• Join the hardware team to develop high-rate entanglement architectures based on chip-integrated qubits.
• Contribute to design, development and construction of scalable, deployable hardware.
• Work on high-throughput characterization systems for qubit devices and integrated photonics.
