Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Technology, Food Quality Management or a related field.
• Knowledge of food & feed safety and quality systems (ISO, HACCP, BRC, IFS, GMP+) and sustainability standards, including ISO 14001.
• Experience with complaint handling, non-conformities, CAPA processes and root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with EcoVadis or similar sustainability assessment tools.

Responsibilities

• Preparing documentation for customers and suppliers.
• Maintaining and improving internal documentation, procedures, and guidelines.
• Active member of HACCP/VACCP/TACCP and EMS teams, as well as the recall team.
• Supporting and conducting internal and external audits, including sustainability audits and EcoVadis assessments.
• Managing customer, supplier and internal complaints, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Monitoring quality trends and complaint data to drive preventive actions.

For our Quality & Compliance Department at our HQ in Herten, we are looking for a

Quality Officer | Fulltime

Are you passionate about quality and sustainability? Do you want to make a real impact by ensuring safe, high-quality food and feed products while supporting environmental responsibility? Then this role as Quality Officer might be the perfect match for you.

We're looking for someone who not only understands food & feed safety and quality standards but is also eager to contribute to our sustainability goals through systems like ISO 14001 and platforms such as EcoVadis. An important part of this role is managing customer and supplier complaints, investigating non-conformities, and driving corrective and preventive actions to continuously improve our quality performance and customer satisfaction.

THE POSITION

As a Quality Officer, you ensure that our products, processes, and systems meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and sustainability. You play a crucial role in maintaining our certifications, managing complaints and non-conformities, and continuously improving our environmental and social impact.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparing documentation for customers and suppliers;
• Working in accordance with food & feed safety and sustainability certifications (including ISO 14001, BRC, IFS, GMP+, etc.);
• Maintaining and improving internal documentation, procedures, and guidelines;
• Active member of the HACCP / VACCP / TACCP and EMS (Environmental Management System) teams, as well as the recall team;
• Supporting and conducting internal and external audits, including sustainability audits and EcoVadis assessments;
• Managing customer, supplier and internal complaints (non-conformities), including root cause analysis, corrective actions and follow-up;
• Monitoring quality trends and complaint data, identifying improvement opportunities and driving preventive actions across the organization;
• Creating specifications and COAs;
• Onboarding suppliers (product, warehouse and transport);
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure alignment on quality and environmental topics;
• Responding to urgent quality-related tasks across the organization.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A QUALITY OFFICER WHO

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Technology, Food Quality Management or a related field;

• Experience with complaint handling, non-conformities, CAPA processes and root cause analysis;
