Job summary

Enza Zaden is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the QA program for our vegetable seed production, ensuring compliance with external regulations and internal standards. You will guide audits, drive continuous improvement, and partner with stakeholders to strengthen quality across the organization.

The role requires a master’s degree in a relevant field, 10+ years of QA experience (6 in leadership), and fluent Dutch and English.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of working experience in quality assurance, incl. 6+ years in a managerial role
• Strong knowledge and experience of Quality Assurance and QMS principles
• Certification experience is a prerequisite
• Experience combining systems with data analytics and continuous improvement mindset
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English

• Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Assurance program with key stakeholders
• Optimize the QMS (document, audit, incident, risk management) for consistency and standardization
• Plan and manage internal and external audits, act as primary contact for auditors, and ensure effective follow-up of non-conformities
• Simplify and improve processes by harmonizing and standardizing ways of working
• Train and coach colleagues to strengthen quality awareness and best practices
• Lead or contribute to QA projects, incidents, and data-driven insights to support decision-making and strategy

A strong product and process quality is supported by ensuring compliance with all external regulations and certifications, as well as internal quality assurance standards. As Quality Assurance Manager at Enza Zaden, you will play a key role in implementing and upholding the highest standards for our vegetable seed production processes within your scope. Quality assurance is essential to Enza Zaden’s ability to operate globally and to deliver reliable, high‑quality vegetable seeds to growers worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and inspire your team while fostering collaboration and strengthening a culture of quality excellence across the organization;
• Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Assurance program together with key stakeholders;
• Optimize the QMS (document, audit, incident, and risk management) to strengthen consistency, standardization, and continuous improvement across the organization;
• Plan and manage internal and external audits, act as the primary contact for auditors, and ensure effective follow‑up of non‑conformities (RCA & CAPA);
• Simplify and improve processes by harmonizing and standardizing ways of working;
• Train and coach colleagues to strengthen quality awareness, sharing best practices and foster a culture of quality excellence;
• Lead or contribute to QA projects, incident and complaint investigation, and provide data‑driven insights through reporting and analysis to support decision‑making and strategy.

Qualifications

• A master’s degree in quality or process management, plant sciences, microbiology, chemistry or another relevant field;
• At least 10 years of working experience, including 6 years in a managerial role, preferably within quality assurance;
• Strong knowledge and experience of Quality Assurance, QMS principles and management tools;
• Industry‑specific (certification) experience is a pre‑requisite;
• Experience with combining systems and data analytics with a strong continuous improvement mindset;
• Excellent communication skills, proficient in Dutch and English.
