Job summary

NOV in Schiedam, Netherlands is seeking a QC Engineer to join the Supply Chain team and ensure supplier equipment and materials meet project, quality and regulatory requirements. You will review documentation, coordinate inspections, and drive non-conformances to closure across Europe.

Hybrid role with four days in the Schiedam office and one day from home, travel within Europe, and potential broader responsibilities as you grow technically.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering.
• Experience in mechanical/materials/fabrication.
• Experience working independently in engineering or quality.
• Strong English writing and speaking.
• Willingness to travel internationally (Europe).
• Driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Perform and support supplier inspections, FATs, kick-off meetings and quality audits.
• Review and coordinate supplier quality documentation and verify compliance with contracts, PO's, ITPs and specifications.
• Identify and follow NCRs, punch-list items and technical queries until closure.
• Prepare inspection and supplier-visit reports and follow up on corrective actions.
• Coordinate quality activities with suppliers, engineering teams and project stakeholders.
• Apply knowledge of materials, welding and fabrication to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Contribute to project packages as Package Engineer with potential to take broader responsibilities.
• Support continuous improvement of quality methods following NOV HSE requirements.
