Job summary

Jobtailor in the Netherlands is seeking an experienced procurement professional to lead sourcing, RFQs, and contract negotiations for IT, cloud licenses, and laboratory equipment.

You will build a cost-effective vendor network, manage POs, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements across automotive, aerospace, or defense sectors.

Fluent English is required, Dutch is a plus, travel about 20% is expected, and you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's or HBO in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in international procurement.
• Experience in Automotive, Aerospace or Defense sectors.
• Proven background in non-product-related sourcing and contract management.
• Strong regulatory knowledge of laboratory, calibration and software services.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems like SAP or Odoo.
• Advanced negotiation and cross-functional stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English; basic Dutch is a plus.
• Willing to travel internationally ~20%.

Responsibilities

• Manage sourcing, RFQs, and contract negotiations for IT, cloud licenses, and laboratory equipment. Draft and secure critical service agreements, NDAs, and software licenses.
• Build an optimized vendor network that meets our business targets. Secure the best cost, high quality, and reliability for our internal operations.
• Oversee purchase orders, resolve supplier non-conformances, and expedite delayed deliveries. Step in to handle critical showstoppers and keep our workflows moving smoothly.
• Maintain accurate supplier records and lead‑time data in our ERP system. Monitor performance metrics to drive continuous improvements across our external supply base.
• Provide clear updates to our cross-functional teams during supplier escalations. Support process automation and the adoption of modern supporting AI tools.

Requirements
