Role Description
As a Procurement Specialist, you will drive procurement execution, contract management, and category content definition. Based in Amersfoort, you will lead complex analyses, deliver insight-driven solutions, and implement automation initiatives to optimize procurement efficiency. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure sourcing excellence and support strategic decision‑making across the QAQC R&D category.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the right content for business needs and ensure sourcing aligns with category objectives
- Develop and execute the sourcing calendar using tools like Keelvar and RFx
- Perform complex data analysis to generate actionable insights for category decisions
- Collaborate with procurement, business stakeholders, and suppliers to optimize sourcing processes
- Negotiate terms with suppliers or support category procurement in negotiations
- Monitor and report on sourcing KPIs, including contract coverage, PO-rate, handsfree PO-rate, and blocked invoices
- Proactively manage stakeholder relationships and drive continuous improvements
- Champion digitalization and automation of the sourcing platform
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field (applied sciences, business, procurement, or equivalent)
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, category sourcing, or related field
- Strong knowledge of SAP, Coupa, Keelvar, PowerBI, and Excel
- Affinity with Category Procurement, preferably in QAQC R&D
- Proven analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide insights
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong team player
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, suppliers, and locations in a complex, high-volume environment
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and focused on process optimization and continuous improvement
- Professional working proficiency in English
