Job summary

Foot Locker in Utrecht, Netherlands is seeking a Purchase Support Specialist to support Buying, Planning and Allocation teams. You will create and maintain internal SKUs, generate purchase orders and help keep product data accurate. You will collaborate across teams to keep inventory moving from supplier to customer.

The role emphasizes learning new systems, taking ownership of tasks, and attention to detail in a fast-paced fashion retail environment. Hybrid work is available with in-office days.

Qualifications

  • MBO level education required.
  • Interest in fashion and retail is highly preferred.
  • Retail store experience is a plus.
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain SKUs in merchandising systems.
  • Execute accurate Purchase Order creation and maintenance.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies reported in product data.
  • Support master data maintenance and cleanup projects for product, supplier, and purchasing data.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and data quality.

Job description

Overview

As a Purchase Support Specialist, you’ll work closely with our Buying, Planning and Allocation teams to execute inventory purchases. The position plays a key role in making it possible for inventory to be purchased from our vendors and eventually become available to customers. You’ll do this by creating and maintaining internal SKUs used throughout our business. In addition, you’ll also generate and maintain purchase orders and resolve occasional data inconsistencies which can arise. As part of the wider Merchandising team, you’ll gain a broad exposure to retail operations and how different business functions work together to keep products moving from supplier to customer.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate SKU creation and maintenance in our merchandising systems.
  • Execute accurate and efficient Purchase order creation and maintenance.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies reported in product data.
  • Support ongoing master data maintenance and cleanup projects, ensuring product, supplier, and purchasing data remains accurate, complete, and fit for business use.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and data quality.
