Job summary

ODS Metering Systems, a global leader since 1950 in custody transfer flow solutions, seeks a Proposal Engineer to design smart solutions and prepare competitive quotations for custody transfer metering systems.

You will become the primary contact for customers, translating client specifications and standards into technically sound proposals while balancing commercial interests and project priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (HBO level) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proactive, hands-on attitude and ownership of tasks from start to finish.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and priorities.

Job description

As a Proposal Engineer, you will fulfil a versatile and challenging role in our organisation. Based on client specifications, international standards and common practices, you will design smart solutions and compose competitive quotations for custody transfer metering systems, evolving into a role as primary contact to our customers. Every project is unique, which will challenge you to rapidly gain experience with the various measurement techniques and components required in the design of a calibrated metering system.

Your most important qualities are technical accuracy, clear communication and commercial skills, combined with a broad general interest.

The most successful candidate:

• Holds a Bachelor’s degree (HBO level) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Brings a proactive, hands-on attitude and takes ownership of tasks from start to finish.
• Has a natural feel for commerce and can balance technical accuracy with customer and business interests.
• Works independently and is comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities at once.
• Is fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
• Has a broad technical interest and enjoys quickly getting up to speed on new techniques, standards and components.
• Is reliable and consistent.
