Job summary

Danone is seeking a Project Supply Chain Engineer at our Haps factory in the Netherlands. The role focuses on designing, analysing and optimising end-to-end material and information flows within a transformation project.

You will validate technology choices’ impact on planning, inventory, logistics, and service levels, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a scalable, future-ready supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Planning, Operations, Manufacturing, or Logistics.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimise end-to-end material and information flows within the project scope.
• Assess impact of technology decisions on planning, inventory, logistics, and service.
• Map current and future material flows, identify bottlenecks and risks.
• Provide data-driven recommendations supported by analyses and simulations.
• Define optimal inventory strategies for raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
• Represent Supply Chain in the End-to-End stream and with stakeholders.
• Support testing, validation, and knowledge transfer initiatives.

Haps plays a critical role in delivering ultra-premium Infant Milk Formula (IMF) to China and other key markets. Are you passionate about transformation projects, analysing, and optimizing end-to-end flows to ensure an efficient, future-ready supply chain?

Your mission is to design, analyse, and optimize end-to-end material- and information flows within our project. You ensure that technological decisions, process designs, and operational practices result in an efficient, scalable, and future-ready supply chain, from raw material receipt through to customer delivery.

Key Accountabilities:

• Contribute to the design of future-state end-to-end processes within the project.
• Assess and validate the impact of technological decisions on planning, inventory levels, logistics flows, and service performance.
• Map and analyse current and future material flows, identifying bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and logistics risks.
• Provide data-driven recommendations supported by analytical insights and simulations.
• Define optimal inventory strategies for raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods.
• Evaluate the impact of project decisions on service levels, inventory performance, and working capital.
• Act as the Supply Chain representative within the End-to-End Stream and towards stakeholders.
• Support testing, validation, and start-up activities as well as change management initiatives and knowledge transfer.

About you

You obtained at least a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.

Next to this you have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Planning, Operations, Manufacturing, or Logistics and a strong affinity with manufacturing processes and technology-driven environments.

To be successful in the role of Project Supply Chain Engineer we believe your profile should contain:

• Good communication and reporting skills in English and preferably Dutch;
• Autonomous, well-organized and structured in your approach;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good stakeholder management and taking ownership;
• Team player

Experience, Skills, Knowledge:

• Proficient in project management and PM tools (e.g. MS project, Excel);
• Relevant experience within a production environment (Supply Chain, Operations, Project management);
• Technical experience in Supply Chain, Inventory management, Data analytics, ERP systems (preferably SAP).
