TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking a Project Procurement Lead to oversee procurement and supply chain activities for project packages, ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery of equipment and materials. You will coordinate with engineering and project teams, manage supplier relationships, and negotiate contracts to meet specifications and budgets.

You will track schedules, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement within the supply chain to support long-term project objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Supply Chain, Engineering) is required.
  • Proven track record in managing complex supply chain packages for projects (offshore/onshore/subsea).
  • Strong contract management and negotiation experience for high-value contracts with technical specs.
  • Experience with ERP systems and SCM software to track procurement processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the Procurement Strategy in accordance with lessons learned and input from Category Managers.
  • Set up the Tendering strategy for the Purchase Request with Buyer and Category Manager.
  • Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with support from Buyer and Category Manager.
  • Manage supplier relationships to foster collaboration and improve performance.
  • Interface with vendor during PO execution ensuring alignment with project priorities.
  • Provide Category Managers with feedback on vendor performance and PO issues.
  • Report progress to the Project Procurement Manager and raise alerts for action plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.

Job description

  • As Project Procurement Lead, you oversee procurement and supply chain activities for specific packages within projects, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery of equipment and materials. This role involves managing supplier relationships, coordinating with engineering and project teams, and negotiating contracts to meet project specifications and budget requirements. The Project Procurement Lead is responsible for tracking the supply chain schedule, mitigating risks, and implementing strategies to ensure smooth project execution.
Responsibilities
  • You develop the Procurement Strategy in accordance with lessons learned and input from Category Managers
  • You are responsible for setting up the Tendering strategy for the Purchase Request under consideration along with Buyer and Category Manager.
  • You lead commercial and contractual negotiations with the support of the Buyer and Category Manager as relevant, coordinating all required functions.
  • You manage supplier relationships to foster collaboration, address issues proactively, and drive supplier performance improvements.
  • You manage the interface with the vendor during Purchase Order execution ensuring that vendors activities are managed in line with project priorities.
  • You provide Category Managers with continuous feedback on vendor performance and get their support in case of Purchase Orders (PO) execution issues related to strategic vendors or strategic categories
  • You report progress to the Project Procurement Manager as required during the entire life of the project. You monitor the execution of the Purchase Order and proactively raise alerts to implement action plan in case of potential issue (such as schedule, cost, quality, contract…).
  • You drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain process to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and support long-term project objectives.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
  • Proven track record in managing supply chain packages for complex projects, including offshore, onshore, or subsea equipment.
  • Strong background in contract management and negotiation, particularly in high-value contracts with technical specifications.
  • Experience with ERP systems and other supply chain management software to track procurement processes and schedules.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements in oil and gas procurement and supply chain operations.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and meet deadlines under pressure
