Responsibilities
Accountable for a project or portfolio of projects (regional/sectoral).
Responsible for all planning activities in line with the Planning SOP.
Reporting to the Planning Department.
Reporting to the Business Unit / Project Management team.
Developing and maintaining programmes for pre-construction, construction, and commissioning phases.
Creating and managing progress tracking databases.
Producing progress reports.
Preparing milestone forecasts and carrying out delay and float path analysis.
Managing Earned Value Management systems.
Tracking schedule performance and productivity levels.
Participating in planning meetings and coordinating with clients and subcontractors.
Producing resource histograms.
Supporting weekly workface planning processes.
Applying resource and cash loading to schedules.
Supplying data for payment applications.
Completing contract review documentation.
Ensuring the accuracy and quality of schedules and reports.
Highlighting issues to relevant stakeholders and recommending solutions.
Recording instances of delay and disruption.
Supporting the preparation of claims and providing information for contractual disputes.
Travelling to project sites as required to fulfil the above responsibilities.
Delivering training where required.
Acting in the capacity of Senior Project Planner when required.
Undertaking any other duties associated with the role.
Essential Criteria for the Role:
Qualification in a construction-related discipline or trade background.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project planning on large-scale construction projects ideally data centres.
High level of proficiency in IT and planning software, including Oracle P6 and Excel.
Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
Strong knowledge of and commitment to Health & Safety.
