As Project Manager, you lead larger, complex projects and you are responsible for successful delivery from handover through evaluation. You manage multidisciplinary project teams, maintain client contact and monitor quality, planning, budget and the agreed results, among other things. Within the position, you can take on the role of implementation manager as well as program manager.
What you will do
You lead large-scale, complex projects from handover to evaluation, and you play an advisory role in the pre-sales phase. The position focuses on strategic project management, leading multidisciplinary teams, managing client relationships and safeguarding quality, time and budget. You report to the Team Lead Project Management.
The position covers two roles:
- Implementation manager: coordinates the effective and efficient implementation of new programs and steers on progress, stakeholders and areas for improvement.
- Program manager: coordinates several related projects within one program and safeguards coherence, dependencies, risks and strategic goals.
Your key responsibilities:
- Draft and implement strategic project plans, including a risk analysis and communication matrix.
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams and functionally manage external suppliers and partners.
- Act as point of contact and sparring partner for clients, and as the link between the client and the internal project team.
- Monitor and adjust planning, resources, quality, KPIs, budget, revenue and margin.
- Define, set up, implement and evaluate projects and programs.
- Provide input for proposals, pricing and pitches, and assess the feasibility of client proposals.
- Identify and structurally resolve quality and delivery issues, and propose improvements.
- Report to the client and management on approach, progress, risks, quality, dependencies and results.
What you are accountable for:
- Projects and programs are delivered in line with agreements, planning and quality standards.
- KPIs, budgets and margins are actively monitored and adjusted where needed.
- Clients, partners and internal teams are informed on time and in full.
- Lessons from implementations and evaluations are turned into structural improvements.
What you bring
We are looking for someone who enjoys keeping the overview, bringing different interests together and making sure projects not only start well, but also finish well. You are an important sparring partner for both the client and the internal project team.
- Higher professional or university education (HBO+/WO) and at least 7 years of experience in project management.
- Experience with strategic client relationships and complex projects.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong command of Dutch and English; German is a plus.
- Results-driven, with a proven ability to safeguard margins and quality.
Core competencies: strategic thinking and planning, people-oriented leadership, client focus, problem solving and resilience under pressure.
What we offer
- You start with our unique onboarding program in our internal Academy, for a warm welcome.
- You get a lot of responsibility in a creative, open and informal company with great colleagues. In return, you receive a good salary, depending on your work experience.
- Also nice: a great workplace, parking right outside and the option to buy a tasty lunch in our Grand Café for a small fee.
- We value healthy, energized employees: you can use the facilities of the fitness club next to Relevance for free.

- A sports tournament, a fantastic staff party, ice cream in the summer, a fresh smoothie during Work Happiness Week and chair yoga during Work Stress Week: just a few examples of the fun things Relevance organizes for its employees.
- You get plenty of vacation days, so you can enjoy your time off too. There is also a travel allowance, a pension plan and a collective health insurance plan.
- Of course, we provide a phone and laptop so you can work from anywhere.
