Job summary

Tooker is seeking a medior Project Engineer to design, build and commission machines and production lines from A to Z. You will lead medium-sized projects through all phases, from 3D design to component selection and planning, communicating with clients and coordinating on-site progress.

You will contribute to budgeting, schedules and process improvements, while joining a dynamic, informal team that values growth and ownership. Hybrid work and room for development are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an engineer within mechanical engineering/production automation.
• Completed mechanical engineering degree at MBO+ or HBO level.
• Knowledge of hygienic design for the food industry is preferred.
• Commercial acumen and strong communication are essential.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for an independent and enthusiastic medior Project Engineer to design machines, production lines and process installations from A to Z. In this position you will be one of the foundations of the mechanical engineering department.

This is what you will be doing at Tooker

As a medior Project Engineer within our mechanical engineering division, you will be responsible for the realization of medium-sized projects from start to finish. You will ensure efficient execution and clear communication towards the customer. You work on innovative machines that we design, build and commission ourselves. No day is the same and you will be involved in all phases of the project, from making 3D designs and selecting components to setting up and monitoring the planning.

You easily switch between different technical disciplines and work closely with our project manager. You regularly visit client sites for technical coordination or progress checks. You justify technical choices, monitor the project budget and ensure that projects are successfully completed within scope, time and budget. Because we are developing rapidly, you will have plenty of room to help build processes, standards and further professionalization. So you not only have an impact on technology, but also on the organization as a whole.

Preferred qualifications and skills

• Preferably a completed mechanical engineering degree at MBO+ or HBO level
• Preferably knowledge of hygienic design for the food industry
• Commercial acumen and are communicatively strong
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as an engineer within mechanical engineering/production automation
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• A proactive and results-oriented attitude
