Job summary

Salter Grange Limited is recruiting an experienced Project Director to lead a major data centre construction project in Eemshaven, Netherlands. You will be responsible for safe, on-time, and commercially successful delivery, leading a multidisciplinary team and coordinating with client and senior leadership.

We are seeking a proven leader with 7+ years delivering large-scale projects, excellent communication, and strong commercial awareness to drive programme delivery and maintain high safety

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent trade qualification required.
• 7+ years delivering large-scale construction projects for main/general contractor.
• Proven senior leadership experience in project delivery.
• Strong leadership and communication with clients.
• Excellent commercial awareness and programme delivery understanding.
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments.

Salter Grange is recruiting an experienced Project Director for a major data centre construction project in Eemshaven, Netherlands.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proven Project Director to lead the delivery of a large-scale, technically complex project for a leading international construction contractor.

As Project Director, you will take overall responsibility for the safe, timely and commercially successful delivery of the project. You will lead a multidisciplinary project team and work closely with the client and senior operational leadership to ensure the project is delivered on programme, within budget and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Project Director Key Responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of a major data centre construction project.
• Manage and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary project team.
• Ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the client and key stakeholders.
• Chair key project, client and progress meetings.
• Drive a strong EHS and Quality culture across the project.
• Oversee project planning, progress, reporting and programme delivery.
• Work closely with engineering, commercial, design and construction teams.
• Manage subcontractor performance and coordinate project activities.
• Identify risks and opportunities and implement strategies to maintain successful project delivery.
• Set clear expectations and monitor performance against agreed KPIs.

Project Director Key Requirements

• Engineering Degree or recognised trade qualification.
• 7+ years' experience delivering large-scale construction projects with a Main Contractor or General Contractor.
• Proven experience as a Project Director, Senior Project Manager or similar senior leadership role.
• Strong experience managing large multidisciplinary construction teams.
• Previous data centre or mission-critical construction experience is highly advantageous.
• Strong leadership, client management and communication skills.
• Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of programme delivery.
• Ability to work independently and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
