Job summary

ProPharma seeks a permanent Project Director to bolster its product lifecycle management group, ideally based in a European hub. The role initially runs as a 1-year fixed-term contract, full-time, largely remote but with Europe-wide collaboration.

You will drive strategic leadership of pharmaceutical development projects, engage with stakeholders, and present to senior leaders up to the c-suite, ensuring delivery against scope, timelines, and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in life-sciences or business.
• 10-15 years of senior project leadership in life-sciences.
• Proven experience presenting to c-suite or director-level clients.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
• Excellent time management and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Solutions oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Able to organize and perform own work tasks independently.
• Able to collaborate with local and virtual teams.
• Fluency in English; other EU languages desirable.
• Advanced proficiency with PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneDrive, SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the Program’s goals.

Position Overview

ProPharma is currently expanding its product lifecycle management group with its newest permanent Project Director to ideally be based in one of our European hubs. This role will start initially as a 1 year fixed term contract full-time; it can be performed largely remote based and will be key in driving the strategic leadership of a variety of key Pharmaceutical Development projects. This role will engage with key stakeholders; present to c-suite individuals and overall drive the program’s success.

Essential Functions

• Oversee the planning, delivery, and communication of projects from scoping and initiation through to implementation to all levels
• Provide strategic direction and leadership across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with client and organisational objectives.
• Monitor project performance, proactively identifying risks, issues and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure delivery against scope, timelines, budget and quality objectives.
• Work independently with limited oversight from senior management.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Build key relationships across a variety of stakeholders
• Present current progress to various levels of our client’s business up to c-suite
• Able to work at a high level and understand the key objectives of our client
• Lead cross-functional teams on an ongoing basis
• Consistently evaluate the Program’s success and ensure any corrective actions are implemented to ensure its overall objectives are achieved
• Utilize key technology to support the continuous improvement of the projects effectiveness
• Take ownership of the Program’s goals
• Other duties as assigned

Necessary Skills And Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree or higher within a in life-sciences or business discipline
• At least 10-15 years or more demonstrated experience working as a Project Director/Program leader largely (if not solely) within the life-sciences sector
• Proven experience presenting to c-suite or Director level client’s
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and passion for quality.
• Excellent time management skills and comfortable working to and driving strict deadlines.
• Solutions orientated and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Able to organize and perform own work tasks independently.
• Able to work effectively with local and virtual team members and other professionals.
• Fluency in English is a must with any other EU language being highly desirable
• Advanced understanding and proficiency with utilizing PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
